    How to improve WIFI speed

first post and It apply to ANY device, and the smallest one gets the biggest hit in wireless performance.

You can test your device with the speedtest.net app and the wifi analyser app

I installed the apps to found out the 2.4G wireless keyboard dongle killed my wifi speed.

Solution for me was to put the dongle on a USB extension as far as possible from the uhost2 and it's internal wifi antenna.

    comparison :

    1. wired or wireless Ubuntu computers on my network gets 5.2 Mbps (adsl)
    2. the uHost2 with the keyboard dongle (rii) plugged in the usb port got 2.0 Mbps
    3. the uHost2 with the 2.4G dongle on a 18 inches extension got 4.2 Mbps

So you may have some testing to do.

    Have fun.

P.S. ANY 2.4Ghz dongle will make interference including the air mouse/remote/whatever you might be using.

edit : I also find out I can get a bit more bandwidth when I shut the bluetooth off

Thanks for the info, may come very useful to many who use 2.4 wireless accessories.

Im my case i always connect only a USB hub to Uhost2, and connect any USB accessories to USB hub which is located in front of TV.
