Do you keep pressing the buttons? Or press then let go and then next button? Nevermind, it's keep pressing them. For some reason half of the time the remote doesn't respond well at all, I really have to sit in a specifict spot to make the remote work well...

Make sure the remote battery is charged before you calibrate.
I think the location of the Uhost can affect the responsiveness of the remote, if you are using the HDMI extender cable try to move the Unost to find an better spot.

Yeah it definitely makes a great big difference where the Uhost is. What is also quite funny is that when I use my remote for my TV and turn up volume and move the uhost mouse, it keeps doing what I was doing, like keeps turning up the volume or keep turning it down.

Thanks. I left it charging for a couple of hours each time after use and used for 3 hours once. I am going to charge it for an hour next time, then use it until it no longer responds to get a better idea of time. and report here.

How do you use the remote to wake the thing? I tried the various buttons and nothing seemed to happen... then I just unplugged/replugged the power and lost my 720p setting.

You cant start Uhost via remote, re-plugging the power is the way.
Other solution is to power Uhost from TV and start with TV remote.
