Feature Requests / Wish list to Smallart

Hello guys,

the Uhost is a great product. But even great products can be improved. If you have any wishes, please let us know what it is.

Please be realistic. If you wish 20 GB RAM and at minimum a Quad Core CPU for the half price - you may NOT be realistic. But if you wish a "stand by modus" or "remove the Uhost launcher" - the manufactur may hear your voice.

I am not an employee of Smallart, so don´t expect to get your feature requests realized. :-)

I would like to see a Power button on device or a switch on USB cable. As it is now you have to unplug and plug the AC charger.

These things will drive the price up man, btw, Uhost does not support 3G dongle?


One feature i would LOVE to have on the Uhost remote is a scroll wheel for scrolling pages.
Its a pain in the ass to click and pull with the remote as it is, or at least two buttons up and down.

i was only sharing ideas.

i know any update will rise the price..

btw. i have not tested a 3g dongle yet. the one i have is very old and usually andoird does not recognize it.

I will test 3G and BT dongle on the RK3066 sticks, RK is usually good at supporting these.

i don't think that we need much more for a media player.

could be good more internal memory
power button or power on from the flymouse (the ideal)
add buttons to the flymouse up down left right, play stop ff rw and thoes for media playing movies.
improve flymouse signal quality.
may be more usb ports for hd. mouse keyboard etc-
no more is needed for a media player.

Many maybe not aware of the built-in mic on the Uhost, but its a great feature on this device.
You can search on google and youtube via voice search wich is even faster then typing on keyboard.

What i would like to see is a mic on the remote, that would improve the voice search feature even more, and make Skype calls more convenient.

I want a mic on the remote please!!

The moc on the remote will be very cool, also a speaker on it will be cool too.

I have the oval elephant which is a branded Uhost u1a. Generally it is a good device but really needs a power switch on the device itself.

Also, it would be perfect for me if it had optical out so I could connect the audio directly to my digital receiver. I can cope with the device being bigger if it had this.
