Does the A10t works with Micro SDHC cards?
Anyone tried using Micro SDHC (High capacity) cards of say 32GB or 64GB? Do they work with the a10t?

microsd & microsdhc are slightly different.
according to What is microSDHC? - Definition
MicroSDHC cards are a faster, higher capacity version of the microSD memory card standard. Any microSDHC compatible device can read both microSDHC and older microSD cards, but a microSD compatible device cannot read microSDHC cards.
So what I am wondering is that the reader on a10t is microSDHC compatible.
Thanks for bothering to answer anyway.

Searching on amazon.com, I found 32GB microSD cards described as uh microSD, most of the microSD being sold are described as micro SDHC but a minority are described as microSD, these are mostly class 4 items valued at USD20 as opposed to class 10 SDHC cards valued at USD35+.

when your purchasing sdcards, one of the key things is to look out for the class version, class 4 is near enough going to work in anything (its slower, but has that compatibility), class6 and onwards can cause problems, due to speed , etc. Basically think usb 1.1,2 and 3, you get backward compatibility but not forward compatibility, e.g a usb 3 device isnt going to work on a 1.1 or 2 usb port.
I hope thats clarified it ?

To clear things up:
Cards up to 2GB are just the normal MicroSD.
From 4GB to 32GB are HC cards or SDHC.
From 64GB to 2TB are SDXC.
So the question is not if it supports SDHC cards (because it does) but if it supports SDXC. Meaning cards with 64GB or more.
Edit:
If u can get a 32GB class 10 card for only a few $ extra, then go for that one. Write speeds are allot higher. Mine is class 4 so it takes awhile to fill that 32GB up.Last edited by Gozerd; 05-25-2012 at 08:34 PM.
