@zjed: I am sad to hear that. Yes I tried both the pwn3d and the Eken A90 Advanced firmware, none did any difference to the WiFi range.

I also have the same wifi problem! It seems to be a hardware problem!
I read somewhere the problem is bad soldering of the antenna! it would make sense, dont u think ?

Sorry to come in on the discussion here, but I have a question regarding screen resolution on this Tablet, as advertised elsewhere, see below:

    ================================================================

    Hi there.

    I have been looking at this tablet on ###########. [Sorry....not advertising....its E.B.A.Y]

There is one supplier selling at £150 which seems OK as it is from UK, so no customs duty.

    The tablet as advertised

But my problem is his specs show 1024x600

Anywhere else, even Ployer site says 1024x768

I email the guy, he responds:

    Dear dannymur,

    Hi

The description is from our supplier so we stick to 1024x600

    regards

    - richardsonss3
Now, what do you guys think??

    Thanks in advance.

    Danny

Can anyone here say what the answer is?

Is it 1024x600, as advertised by the seller quoted above,

Or is it 1024x768 as advertised almost everywhere else?

My decision to buy this tablet will be based on what you guys think here!!!

    Thanks in advance!!!

Great review. I was wondering how you charge the tablet. Can u use usb charger, or must u use the included charger? Don't think the plug fits in scandinavian or other normal European plug contacts (or what ever u call it).

given a "kick" with the soldering iron and moving the antenna from the back of the screen to another place
and wifi is perfect now !
Unbelievable they make the tablet with such poor quality.

Received my momo11 today with DHL from androidinabox.com. Pushed the start button but only get the startup logo with the spinning wheel beneath spinning without anything happening (almost an hour gone by now). The tablet doesn“t startup. Anyone recognize that problem. Appriciate all help.

Try using paper clip to hit reset.

Thanks for the tip. Tried that. Still stuck in 3Dchinese-letters logo and spinning wheel. Tried plugging to power and PC via USB and resetting, no diff. Weird.

You may have to try to reflash the firmware, using livesuit. You can download Momo11 Bird latest firmware here- PLOYER-?- Select firmware, then mid
Also check for livesuit here- LiveSuitPack v1.07 USB drivers - Downloads - Android Tablets Forum
Read the comments, it's not that hard once you try it. A custom rom is also nice, but you want to make sure yours works at all first, i would think.

    Hi folks,

    Gary from GTR Electronics here.

I'm Ployer's official UK Distributor (you can check this via their website, en.Ployer.cn under 'contact us' then 'distributor') and will be getting a brand new stock of the Momo11 Bird's in next week. Just wanted to clarify / add a few points to this thread:

    1) There have been several comments around bad WIFI for this unit. This is absolutely correct. Up to around 2 - 3 months ago there was a fault with the WIFI on these tablets. This has since been sorted and all NEW stock will not have this hardware issue. If you're buying one of these units please confirm with the supplier around when they were manufactured to understand if they will have a WIFI issue or not. All GTR Electronics tablets are made to order so my stock next week will be of their newer generation model.
    2) Android 4.0.4 is now available for the Momo11 Bird (as well as Momo8 Bird and others). My stock will come pre-loaded with this on it. After testing on my sample Momo11's I can confirm this is much more stable than 4.0.3. I've already uploaded the Momo8 4.0.4 firmware on 4shared.com and will do the same for the Momo11 shortly.

If anyone has any questions / queries please don't hesitate to get in touch.

    Best regards
    Gary
