    Exclamation Debian/Xfce on Ainol Paladin

    Code:
PAY ATTENTION, USE THIS SOFTWARE AT YOUR OWN RISK, NO WARRANTY GIVEN.

    Debian/Xfce on Ainol Paladin,

This is the first try, not yet ready for public, stay tuned for updates!

    [UPDATE 23/03/2012]
The first beta of debian img is UP!

    Deposit Files

    HOW TO:
    1) Download AinolDebianHelper.zip attached to this thread, decompress and install it on you Ainol Paladin
    2) Download debian img from the previous mirror, extract it and place the folder/file debian/squeeze.img on the ROOT of your Paladin's flash memory.
    3) Just open AinolDebianHelper on you Paladin and press ON! :-)

*) VNC connection profile should be done directly by the AindolDebianHelper, if not you have to add new connection with these settings:

    Address: 127.0.0.1
    Port: 5901
    Password: paladin

The root's password (too) is: paladin

*) IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEM: JUST REBOOT

    KNOWN BUGS:
+ Mounting/Umounting debian img seems breaking the internal flash memory's mounting on pc (Reboot should fix it)

Here is a preview of the HelperApp that I developed to get easy the loading process:

    [/UPDATE]

Why Don't you offer me a coffee or a beer? :-) Thanks for Donating!

*XORG IS NOT RUNNING NATIVELY!**SAY THANKS TO VNC!* :-)

I'm currently developing an User Interface thanks to Android SDK, to simplify the start/stop process of the debian chroot.

A beta will be available soon, perhaps the Final version will not have XFCE cause it's not TOUCH-Friendly, it's very difficult to use,
if you have any suggestions about the Window-Manager (TOUCH-Friendly) to use, please post here, (KEEP IN MIND that Paladin has only 512MB of RAM!)

    Thanks.

How about this Unity thing I keep hearing about on Ubuntu? Isn't it supposed to be touch friendly?
