    Upad F4 issues

I recently (a few days ago) received a RockTouch RT8 / Upad F4 from the House of Dap and it has had all kinds of problems connecting to the market as well as some website. It has also crashed our wifi countless times and I'm wondering if there is a fix for these issues? Maybe new firmware or something also I was wondering about updating firmware if I have a mac computer and how I can go about updating any firmware.

What is the Kernel version and Build number on your device now?

Also can you be more specific what are the problems with Market and "some" websites?

It will be easier to test this issues if i can reproduce the same problems you have.

So I found the other upad thread on the website and I am currently trying to update the device but I got to the point where the RKAndroidTool status window says "INFO: Start to download IDB" but it has been sitting on that aspect for a while and I might have to unplug the device cause there is no other way to stop the program. I tried this once before and it has the same problem and it rendered the tablet completely useless and doesn't start up or anything anymore.

Before all of that happened to answer you question about the market problems and the websites. the market would open up but not load fully or sometimes not load at all but only ask me if I wanted to retry or cancel and go back. With the websites I had a ton of trouble going to ESPN.com and also getting on to the Opera Mini browser but the Market was the main problem I had to deal with.

I cant find my firmware version because the upad will no longer start up and I got parallels so I was able to use the RKAndroidTool and I am talking about this website in the thread Upgrade instructions for RK2918 RT8 / Upad F4. Also the RKAndroidTool went past the "INFO: Start to download IDB" only to say that Download IDB Failed.

What firmware file did you use?
If you used wrong firmware file or failed during upgrade then the device may be bricked.

You have to use other XP computer and follow the same steps, dont unplugg till the whole process has written the firmware to flash.

And use the correct firmware file for your device.

Looks like you bricked your device using wrong firmware. If you can get default firmware use it to reflash the device.

Its recommended to use Windows XP.
