Phantom Touches
Hello. Sorry if this is the wrong place to post -- first time posting here.
Long story short, my Ainol Tornado occasionally has phantom touches. These happen every 5-20 seconds, and can be extremely annoying when they open apps or press buttons. The random touches persist until a reboot.
From what I've observed, there are two possible causes: using certain apps (Tetris Free seemed to cause them every time it was opened, BitLetters seems to cause them half of the time), and sitting on static electricity-inducing furniture (fuzzy couches, etc).
Any advice?
Thanks.

That's disturbing that ainol has not solved the phantom presses. I will not order another tab from this company.

I have the exact same issue with my Ainol Tornados. But I don't get it as frequently. It happens whenever I switch it on or when it comes out of a sleep mode, and it will last for about 10-15 seconds.
It will also do it now and again when I've been using the tablet for a while, but I hardly experience it this way.
Another problem is that my computer struggles to pickup and read the external SD card I put in it. I have to remove it and use a reader/writer to transfer stuff from my PC and then put it in the tablet. I don't have that problem with my Onda Vi30 Ultimate.
And another issue, is that the battery indicator isn't working properly. It will quickly run down from 100% to about 76% in a few minutes, and then it stabilizes. And when I plug in the charger, it will show 100%.
I've read some horror stories about the firmware updates for this tablet and I'm reluctant to go that route, because I could end up with other issues - like wifi issues, or Google Play issues, or worse ext storage issues where the tablet won't recognize the ext storage at all.
I doubt I'll buy another Ainol tablet.

I upgraded my tablet with the official 0619 rom + patch file from Ainol, and I no longer experience phantom touches. Tablet seems to be stable now.

A guy named Dryster posted step by step instructions here:
Ainol NOVO 7 Tornados Stock 0619 Firmware - SlateDroid.com
I followed everything he stated for installing the 0619 rom + patch. Hope it helps whoever has the problem.
