simple root for paladin

howdy i own 2 paladin tablets and i managed to root them

how did i do it
firs download z4root
z4root_hnczp-ics.apk - Downloads - Android Tablets Forum
its chinesebut you need to install the apk run it and push the bottom button 2nd one
let it do its thing after a few minutes it will auto reboot
then go to market and get superuser install it and whola its rooted
worked on both the tablets i got

no don't have the firmware could try to contact the reseller.
my chinese sucks ,i had a hard time finding the ainol-paladin.apk
wich includes the lost files when you do a factory reset.

Can you install Clockwork Recovery on your Paladin and make a backup to an SD card please? If you can share the backup somehow i can copy that on an SD card and restore my Paladin.

Ran it twice on mine, didn't work Didn't do anything else either, so no harm done

Update: Changed firmware to 4.03, Z4root now abends so no joy there - but Dolphin works now

Hi everyone,

Go to the Anlol.com website, download section, on the top of the page you will found the Ainol Paladin Factory Firmware.

Download speed is very low. At the moment i need to wait 12 ours to download 788 MB. When the download finished i will share a Dropbox link.

thanks man, i have successfully rooted my paladin using your method and verified it through root checker as well .........however, what can i do after rooting, i still can't install flash player, it says you already have certificate (have flash 10.1 already installed and i can't uninstall it just i can disable it but that doesn't helpt either)..........anybody successful in installing flash player?

@zsopapp i have given the two tablets to the twin kids of my best freind, but i see you found new firmware great job will tell me buddy that there is an upgrade for the tablets. as most of me time goes into the A500 tab and the Galaxy tab (love the speed and tegra 2 chip)

@fajoo24 there should be a way to get it done (try to put the question in the basic forum )same mips chip so simular behavior

its a verry nice tablet for the price aldo if i would have to make a choiche again i would get another Zethink Z280 C71 its a arm a9 core tab and also goes for about 100 euro on ebay

Tried the z4root and it rebooted by itself after running successfully.

Was able to enable root explorer and mount the / folder for writing in ES file explorer, but the explorer cannot see any files (an error about the sd card being empty). Disabling the root explorer makes the files visible again.

Tried to edit /system/build.prop using an editor but was not able to save changes.
