Screen inactive coming out of sleep
I posted a thread previously, thinking it was a problem when the tablet was locked. It isn't. It is when it comes out of sleep. I have posted a video of what happened this morning, and it happened twice, as I was attempting to get into the tablet after it had been in sleep mode for around 30 minutes.

Very frustrating. When it is working, it works brilliantly (except the phantom screen activity)... but this is now starting to give me the hump....
Any advice would be welcome...
Thanks

Thank you for taking an interest.
Basically, when I take my tablet out of sleep mode, especially if it has been sleeping for more than 30 minutes, the screen will fail to respond. I have no lock on it. It goes directly to where I left it, but the screen will do nothing. I can use the "Menu" and "back" buttons, but the screen is dead. I have to keep putting it in and out of sleep and then it will eventually work. Sometimes it can take up to 2 minutes of going in and out of sleep before it starts to work again.
I found yesterday it was not as bad if the unit was left on charge. However that is not always practicle.

I use the power button to get the tablet to go in and out of sleep or standby. If you get the opportunity to look at the video, you will see exactly what I mean. The screen comes on, you can see all the icons, but you are unable to active anything on screen as it does not recognise any touches.

My guess would be a rogue app. Something like a game has left behind a process. Have you looked in settings > apps >running for a suspect?
How about coming up from reboot, does screen unlock promptly?

If I go to settings > apps > I just get a list of installed apps and the amount of storage taken up. No list of runners. I go into super task killer, I can see what is running. Am I looking at user apps or system apps???

It also seems to be less likely to happen if the unit is charging. When I first used it tonight, it happened twice. Since plugging it in, has not happened once....

Under settings > apps I have 4 columns: downloaded, on sdcard, running, all.
Running shows 4 apps are active: settings,Google services, maps, android keyboard.
