Paladin updates discontinued?

I've hardly seen any updates for the tablet, has it been discontinued?

I was hoping to see at least smoother animation

EDIT: I found out through a little more research that everyone has been saying it's discontinued. But has anyone worked on a rom based off the latest firmware update?

Understand your concern. I own a Basic and the last official "update" came out in mid February, 4.0.3.

theoretically it should be an update this month i hope this is true.

The rom 0417v for paladin works very well there is nitmych to be moddified

did you install the 0418V or 0417v update? when i did installed it all phamtom touches did dissapear also the interface is much more smother and i realy like how it dose runs.

i hope they do a new firmware for a final polish of the little things that they should fix

Yes i'm on the latest firmware. My version is 0417.



It does reduces phantom touches from when it was at it's original firmware and it does run smoother (alittle only). All phantom touches disappear? Wish that would happen to my device <.<... Everytime i'm surving the web with Dolphin Browser it "phantom touches" the top left side of my tablet and closes the tab...

I'm still quite upset most of the animation are missing, like when you unlock the screen it doesn't have a cool zooming effect (although unnecessary i would love to see it .) and the animation from closing and opening apps missing still. Scrolling around the app drawing still gives me tons of lag despite me closing everything, but again, i can't expect too much from a cheap tablet .

Regarding updates from Ainol, I'm am currently on ICS 4.0.4 with one of my other tablets. I would think that Ainol is long overdue to release 4.0.4 to the public.

I guess we have to wait and see for a miracle update to apear .

EDIT: Found out where to get the animations! It's at developers options -> Windows Animation Scale and Transition Animation Scale! Now it looks smoother overall

Great. As far as any miracle updates, it has been my experience with my Basic that updates are just more Chinese games with little or no real improvements to the overall performance of the tablet. Sigh!

That's sad to hear :\... Paladin updates improve the tablet by alittle but they don't add junk apps. (Well maybe they did, i just uninstalled all those chinese apps xD)
