@Martys6, try to redo the firmware flash and the script after that again and see if that helps. Remember to choose Yes to format the device when you do the Firmware update. You can also try to do a Factory Reset (in the settings menu).
@xingamazon, If the script is Waiting for your device it means that the device is not connected correctly or the USB drivers are not installed correctly. The easiest way to install the drivers is to install PdaNet. This link is in the Readme. It install both the USB and the USB Debug drivers (Yes there are 2 drivers needed). Once the drivers are installed it will continue with the script.

Thanks for the suggestion Louis, I will try this out when I reach home from office today.
Like I mention, I did try installing the drivers using the INF file provided but was getting the message "INF file you selected doesnt support this installation". I was wondering if there was any problem with my instrument etc. etc.
But I had not tried installing PDAnet earlier, now that you have suggested I will install PDAnet and update you on the status.
Do you know why my PC is giving out the message ""INF file you selected doesnt support this installation"??

I even tried just installing the apk for the Market but when installed it just flashed the screen but did not open.
I am using the pre march 12 firmware and the appropriate installer file given at post one???
I still can not get the ELF to use the USB drivers on my XP machine. I loaded the apk onto the sd card and installed from the ELF??

@xingamazon, some Windows versions give that error and does not install drivers from the INF file anymore (Win7 at least and perhaps Vista also).
@gorillaman, the script will install all the files using the USB cable when you connect your tablet to the PC with it, but it needs the 2 USB drivers to be installed. On your tablet Debug must be enabled (Under the Developer settings on your tablet). You can also run the script in a command prompt which will then show any errors longer on the screen for you to see.
If you do copy all the APK files to your SD card, you can install them using ES File Explorer by selecting them and using the Install options. If you Factory reset your device they will be gone, so this is not the suggested way.
If you have trouble with the USB drivers, install PdaNet. It install all the required drivers and is a nice package. (You do not need to install the part onto the tablet itself)Last edited by Louisvdw; 03-15-2012 at 06:37 AM.

I uploaded a new version of the package that include a new version of the GTalk app that works now.
I updated the OP with the links. If you previously installed the script, you can just run the new version and it will update the files.
This latest version also does not include the USB_drivers folder anymore. I suggest you install PdaNet if you need the drivers.

I installed the script correctly, but, even if the market shows me all the apps, I can't install a lot of them 'cause the system says that they are not compatible with my device.
Why?
I thought that this script is for a full access to the market, considering that the market pre-installed with the last firmware works good even if there are few apps.

Louisvdw,
I try to install the PDA pack and the ELF has USB Debug when connected checked... and it says connected. With the SD card in the Tab... when connected the computer (PC) shows 2 removable drives but when I click on each it says (File Manager XP) "Please insert disc into drive"
I will try to restore the PC to 3 days ago ans see if the "Looking for software" box comes up again. Now when I plug the USB in... nothing comes up about connectivity... the 2 removable drives just show up???
