Clockworkmod recovery for the ELF > windows install script.
Get the latest Cockworkmod recovery for the novo7 ELF <notice it is not an official release> :
CMW_NOVO7_ICS.zip
1>plug in your ELF to the pc
2> make sure USB debug is on
3> extract the CMW_NOVO7_ICS.zip file and run install_recovery_for_ICS.bat
If you want to boot to recovery, since the ELF doesn't have the volume rocker you need to use the Boot_to_recovery_for_ICS.bat file to load it.

Thank you!!
For the boot to recovery, do you mean we have to connect the elf to a PC and then use the bat file to make the elf to boot to recovery?
In the 0302 firmware I just flashed, the menu and home rockers became vol - & vol +, will this help?

Exactly. use the bat file to boot to recovery.
I am not sure because on my ELF the the buttons are regular, I didn't map them to vol+ Vol-
try turning off your Tablet, then press and hold the VOL+ button then press and hold power, that should get you in to CWM if the mapping is permanent.

Hi aaww,
I successfully installed the CWM recovery (v5.5.0.4). But when I boot to it, I found the 'Can't mount backup path.' message. Is this because I haven't inserted the Tflash card?
I also found a way to boot to CWM Recovery directly from the ELF without using the PC-USB connection & Boot_to_recovery_for_ICS.bat file, just press the 'Back' & 'Power' buttons (the most right and most left buttons on top) for around 6 seconds will do.......Thanks.Last edited by hoifree; 03-16-2012 at 05:29 PM.

Yes Hoifree you need an external MICRO SD card to do backups.
You are welcome.

I inserted a card in the card slot but it cannot be mounted via the 'Mounts and Storage Menu' with message 'Error mounting /sd-ext!'
I tried the backup process following are the messages:
Backing up boot image...
Backing up recovery image...
Backing up system...
Backing up data
No /sdcard/.android_secure found. Skipping backup of applications on external storage.
Back up cache...
No sd-ext found. Skipping backup of sd-ext
Generating md5 sum...
Backup complete!
Will do more testings.

I tried the restore and it works.
For the backup, the backup files will be stored in the extsd if 'backup' is selected while the backup files will be stored in the sdcard if 'backup to internal sdcard' is selected.
Cheers!

Is there any way to go to recovery w/o plugging it in and running the batch file?
