Ainol Novo 7 Elf Specs Images Video

Ainol have released a new Allwinner model, the Ainol Novo 7 Elf.
Before the Chinese new year, to many ppl surprise.

As often with Chinese brands there is lots of confusion about the real specs, so i will try to list what i can dig out in this post.





From images above, we can see that the shell design is very similar to that on N7A and N7B, without the back camera.





From these images we can expect to see both white and black versions of Novo 7 Elf.

A weird video have been uploaded on Youtube stating that Chinagrabber have shipped Elf to a buyer by mistake weeks before the device was even released. (to me is sounds like a marketing trick)

Hello McBub can you confirm that skype video and voice chat and other voice video chat messenger like yahoo oovoo etc work on it? Because its not a MIPS processor so i think it should?

Onething i am confused about is that on some sites it's mentioned that it got a 2.0 MP front camera and some mentioned that it got a 1.3MP front cam so which one is correct?

maybe it depends on ics version, upgrade to 4.0.3 could fix this problem?

It might be that the current version of skype is not compatible with Android 4.0? Is it 4.0.1 or 4.0.3? Can you check if yahoo voice and video plugin install and works fine? It's available in the market but require to install the yahoo messenger app before installing the plugin.

Thanks for your help i really want to confirm it before buying because i am really disappointed with my Novo 7 Basic which is a MIPS based tablet 80% of apps doesn't install or work.
