Can you try killing all your apps- you have a task killer loaded I hope and then with the keyboard plugged in run it again?
Currently using Ramos W30 and Ainol Novo 9 Spark (Retina screen)
Some that I have owned/used/tested Bmorn v99, Ainol Novo Basic, Ainol Novo Advanced, Ainol Novo Hero, Ramos w30, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, uHost 1A, MK808, Samsung Galaxy Note. http://mcandroidexpert.wordpress.com

Wish I was that tech savvy to help you diagnose other problems, but hopefully someone who has more experience in that particular arena will help out here.

Ok, so I looked through the log and couldn't find specific references to the keyboard. However what you should try is this:
- Start the tablet WITHOUT the keyboard connected.
- Take note of the system time as it appears in the logcat
- plug in the keyboard
- dump the log and send it over here along with the approximate time (HH:MM:SS) you tried plugging the keyboard in.
The log should show something about trying to configure the newly inserted device, which might tell us what's happening... Knowing the time means concentrating on the relevant part of the log...
From your log, I see that the "tencent" program keeps trying to do stuff and being killed. Unless you actually use that application, you'd have a skinnier log just by disinstalling it.

My keyboard at least works fine if "hotplugged". I'm leaving for work, now, but I'll post the relevant section of the logcat later today, where it shows the keyboard being conencted, identified and configured. (This is the 4.0.3 version of the firmware, by the way...)
EDIT:
OK, here's what happens in my log when I plug the keyboard in:
D/EventHub( 127): No input device configuration file found for device 'NOVATEK USB Keyboard'.
I/EventHub( 127): New device: id=5, fd=233, path='/dev/input/event6', name='NOVATEK USB Keyboard', classes=0x80000003, configuration='', keyLayout='/system/usr/keylayout/Generic.kl', keyCharacterMap='/system/usr/keychars/Generic.kcm', builtinKeyboard=false
I/InputReader( 127): Device added: id=5, name='NOVATEK USB Keyboard', sources=0x00000101
I/ActivityManager( 127): Config changed: {1.0 0mcc0mnc en_US layoutdir=0 sw480dp w800dp h480dp lrg long land finger qwerty/v/v -nav/h s.6}
...and here's what happens when I remove it (of course the log contains a lot of other stuff):
I/EventHub( 127): Removing device '/dev/input/event6' due to inotify event
I/EventHub( 127): Removed device: path=/dev/input/event6 name=NOVATEK USB Keyboard id=5 fd=233 classes=0x80000003
I/InputReader( 127): Device removed: id=5, name='NOVATEK USB Keyboard', sources=0x00000101
I/ActivityManager( 127): Config changed: {1.0 0mcc0mnc en_US layoutdir=0 sw480dp w800dp h480dp lrg long land finger -keyb/v/h -nav/h s.7}
Knowing this I'll look through your logs again to find something similar...Last edited by alleytom; 01-31-2012 at 07:53 AM.

There's nothing wrong with the "removal" part of the log, but the fact that nothing is shown when you plug it in is certainly an indication that something is wrong!!! Are you sure that nothing appears? Look for occurrences of the "HID" string, as that's the name your keyboard reports. Of particular interest is the configuration change, as that is the one that enables/disables the virtual keyboard. What happens when you plug the keyboard in? Does the virtual one still pops up when you select a textbox?

nothing appears with 'HID' string after plugging in. Also, not always after I remove keyboard that message part, that I showed, appears..
And yes, virtual keyboard pops up after clicking on text field. But I believe same thing was during that period when my keyboard was working well...
