Stuck at ainol Tab NOVO7 Basic after ICS update

Hello. I hope someone can help me.

I have tried to update to update_1222_4.0.zip that I downloaded from this forum. The update seemed to go through fine, it didn't report any errors and then rebooted.

However, now it won't go past the "ainol Tab NOVO7 Basic" boot screen.

I have tried putting previous firmwares back on, booting into the ainol verbose update screen and clearing cache etc but no matter what I do I can't seem to get it to boot.

    Any one have any ideas?

    Thanks.

    r3s.

It takes a while to boot, especially after a clean install. Be patient and wait for it to start....

I think the problem is deeper than waiting for it to boot.

I have left if for an hour sitting at ainol Tab NOVO7 Basic and it hasn't managed to get past it. It doesn't even have the animation it used to have, the flashing lights.

Not sure what else I can try. It isn't detected by my computer beyond registering the fact it's been plugged in, there is no data communication between the two.

If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

    Thanks

    r3s.

I actually had the same issue, I've had it solved by reinstalling from a different source.

What do you mean by different source? Downloaded update.zip or using a different micro usb card?

    Thanks.

I upgraded to a later version of 3.2 shortly after I got the tablet, this worked fine then, I have since tried to use this update to go back to that version but I end up stuck back at he loading screen again. I have tried 3 different firmwares, of which has been successful in the past but now has no effect.

Don't know if this will help you but I was stuck at the logo screen after loading a Gingerbread ROM. I hit the reset button after waing what seemed like forever AND ejected my SD card. My tablet then did finish booting. YMMV.

My Novo 7 is also getting stuck at the "Novo 7 Basic" bootscreen. I managed to get the 4.0.1 from aionovo.com and got that working. But since it got no market, I went and installed the 4.0.1 from here. Aaaaand yeah, now Im stuck at the same place as you guys..

This is just anioying! Ha! :b

I updated to the "Official" version...and I am now stuck in it. I put the 4.0.1 update on my sd card and powered it on while holding the VOL+ and it started, then the android guy fell over.

If I can get back to the "Unofficial" version, I think I will stay there for a bit longer.
