Speaking of this, I've been trying to download this for awhile, I even registered to the 115 website, but I can't figure out what to do in order to proceed with the download... I can't figure out the chinese website, and the automatic google translation hasn't helped. Does anyone know how to go ahead and start the download?

    Thanks....

Thanks. I managed to find firmware 1115 and 1126 on that thread and on the download section, but not 1125.

Either way, I was wondering how to get hold of the larger 1.4Gb version from the 115 website also in wait of a 4.0 release...

I have an Ainol Novo 7 Basic with 8Gb built in storage! So what firmware upgrade should I make on my tab? 1125? 1126? 1202?? I really don't know which is the most suitable for my device.

its different sets, but inside is one and the same firmware 1125
I have instruction how make update.zip from official firmware 1.4G and I try to translate it from Russian

in the 1.4G a lot of (~700Mb) garbage

be carefully - this is maybe NOT PERFECT translate

    1. create folder for example A and extract any previous firmware (update.zip) 3.2
    2. you see structure of files and folders
    3. unzip the official firmware in a folder for example B
    4. in the folder /B/NOVO7_Basic_Android_3.2/novo701-3.2-1125/novo701-3.2-1125 / rename the mbr-xboot_4G.bin in mbr-xboot.bin (for versions to 8GB rename mbr-xboot_8G.bin)
    5. from the official firmware from the folder / B/NOVO7 Basic Android3.2/novo701-3.2-1125/novo701-3.2-1125/ copy to the folder A files mbr-xboot.bin, system.img and boot.img with the replacement
    6. Create update.zip from A folder

in the update.zip in folder ainol_update_temp_dir before flashing generally you can kill all apk (programs) if you do not need them.
Or You can uninstall anything after the installation in the usual way.

I ordered my Novo 7 Basic last week from Ownta. They also had the Advanced model available last week too.

It took a few days until I got a tracking number, but now I'm just waiting for it to get here (I used their free shipping).....I also used a $5 off Coupon code...I don't know if the code would still work or not (8F68-6889-8F88).

Don't really know much about the company, but I couldn't find too many red flags out there about them, so I just ordered it and crossed my fingers

    Shipping Update

    ***** UPDATE *****

Just got the notice from MeriMobiles. That my tablet has just shipped. I ordered the tablet on Friday morning 0630 hrs. So it has taken approximately 3 business days (China) as stated by the website to process and ship my order.

I purchased the expedited DHL 3-6 Business Day shipping because I wanted to ensure I would get it promptly and avoid shipping delays due to the Christmas Shipping Rush. MeriMobiles has provided me with a tracking number and the DHL website indicates that Shipping information has been received and the Item has been Picked Up by DHL in Hong Kong as of 15:28 hrs (Hong Kong). So far so good. I would anticipate having my tablet sometime early next week I will keep you posted.

I will do an Unboxing video and a review of the tablet for you all to enjoy and use as a tool to make your decision.

As I stated before I purchased the Basic model because i wanted the Tablet version of the Google Android software. This is the exact same tablet that will be released in the United States early next year with Android 4.0 with different branding. Google is pretty stringent with regards to its Android Operating system and approving the installation of it. Aniol Novo 7 Basic has received the Hardware certification from Google to do so thus the announcement by FOX News that they will be releasing the tablet in the united states market with other branding. Android 4.0 Tablet Under $100 Coming To U.S. | Fox News

I will also include in my review of the tablet how well the market works and if the apps in the market (Google and Amazon) work with the tablet.

I will also include the updates and the results from them subsequently.

Thank you for tracking my thread. I hope you find it informative.

Looking forward to it.....I'm still waiting for my Novo7 Basic to arrive.

Since I am a novice when it comes to tablets, I'm looking for all the help and information I can gather. I'm sure the info you provide will be a great addition to everything I've been reading up on.

    Thanks!
