I ordered Ainol Novo 7 Basic

please let us know what apps. are able to be installed/run on the Basic Model. if you didn't know the Basic uses a MIPS based CPU. most Apps. for Android are developed based on ARM Based CPU. the CPU in the Advanced Model is ARM Based thus' all App. will work on it. i'm really interested in hearing the users thoughts on this matter

I have not tested this so use on own risk.

Since I'm still waiting for my Novo 7 Basic to arrive, I probably won't be the first to try this firmware. I did read about some apps only working with the ARM based CPU (before I purchased the Basic version), but I have to admit, I don't think I realized how proprietary it really was and how many apps are only made for the ARM based CPU tablets. I would also tend to think that if there ends up being lots of these MIPS based tablets in the public's hands, then there would be a larger apps library available in the future....the question is how many MIPS based tablets will end up making it to the market.

I can't remember if it was this site or another, but I do remember seeing someone start a list of working apps for the Novo 7 Basic tablet....I'll take a look again for it.

It may be hard to get Advanced as production has stopped, order from meri if they sill have stock.
