Can't get the novo7 into update mode.

firstly would like to say hi all new to this forum.

my problem is can't get the novo7 into update mode, when i press volume + and power. I did a factory reset on the tablet and now every time i try to upgrade to ics the dam thing enters reset mode.

can anyone help please?

Do you have the Novo7 Basic or Advanced? Just double-checking, since I'm not sure what the instructions are for the Advanced. Also... what do you mean by 'reset mode'?

hi there, its the basic model - and the reset mode is when you do a factory reset - however now it does a reset every time i press the volume + and the power buttons to start the update mode.

What do you have update named? It should be update.zip and in the root directory of the SD card.

yes and yes the problem is when you place the tablet in update mode - mine seems to be stuck in loop and goes into reset mode and doesn't start updating. is there a way to update from the card without using the volume + and the power button method?

check that the sd card is in fat32
check an other time the name of the update file, : update.zip

on other way is : don't put the sdcard now, press the + button and the power button => when robot appear, press the home button many time, it's display the "console" menu of the upgrade menu.
