I don't recall I'd mentioned on this forum that any Ainol website update has to be approved by their big boss. This is why it took so long before Novo7A & B appeared on the website. Also for the firmware updates.

The employees can only post limited info in their news section and have to distribute new firmwares via forums or 3rd party websites. It's werid, I don't know the story behind this, but it's their company policy. Till the bosses changed that, we can only rely on their beta testers to get latest news and firmware updates.

That is really a strange policy, maybe Ainol dont want to make Google angry releasing things officially to early.

it is very expensive, but i was usign a gift card, so i dint had much option, but i trought it was the Advanced... should i upgrade the firmware? to 20111202?

No, i ordered another 150usd tablet, but it never arrived, so they give me a giftcard, for the time the Novo 7 was the best option there at that price, but there is not information about if its the basic or advanced, and the specs are mixed, i was hoping to be the advanced but no

Both cos its MIPS and 3.2 but you will find more apps with 2.2.

Still waiting for shipment of my 7 Basic from BestMid. They say they're getting the newer 8 GB versions in so I hope I get one of those but the waiting is killing me!
