    Novo7 Upgrade

I upgraded to 4.0.1 using the file from Firmwares/Downloads.

    1. Download to SD card.
    2. Rename update.zip.
    3. Insert in Novo7.
    4. Starting with power off press volume+ and power at same time.
    5. Release when Ainol screen appears.

Worked fine... one issue though. Everything is in Chinese now. Anybody know how to set the language to english?

Glad that worked for you. I couldn't get mine to update by renaming it update.zip. I had to just rename it update.

The Merimobiles Page that your link leads to contains 2 listings for the Novo 7.

The Novo 7 that is the 8th item down in the right hand column lists "ICS Beta V1", but this is for the Novo 7 ADVANCED.

The Novo 7 in the center of the bottom row is the Novo 7 BASIC, and there are no Firmware Updates listed for this model.

Can you clarify where you got the 4.0.1 Firmware File please?

    George

Way down at the bottom. 12th item has 4.0 and 3.2.

I had trouble naming the file update.zip as well... then figured out I wasn't seeing the extension and was naming it update.zip.zip worked much better after I got rid of the extra .zip.

Try this one....I have seen where some have said it's Beta, but I haven't had problems thus far.

Glad that worked for you. I think a lot of people are making that mistake.

Flash 10.1 is not for ICS... Only Flash 11 can run flash videos in ICS. If the device cannot install flash 11, then it means it cannot run Flash videos!!!
