No, factory reset took me back to a fresh 4.0.1. Sdcard contents will also be preserved.

Just curious what you mean by "Factory Reset"?

I assume you don't mean using the reset button on the unit itself?

Applying a new firware will still install all apps of that firmware package (unless there is a firmware package available without the APK's).

    Thanks!

    Settings-Backup and Reset-Factory Data Reset

This reset removed all chinese apps except baidu keyboard input . I have done this twice as I was having problems syncing google currents. The problem with currents still persist though. I think the reset merely clears all downloaded apps ,app data and accounts. If i m not mistaken the chinese apps are not system applications and were therefore removed too.

Only a restart solves the performance problem.

Do you have the same issue and a workaround? I have also tried Dolphin Browser HD, but it does also not load the websites correctly.
Hello, I have the same issue with the default Android browser that is super slow and will slow down the whole system. I tried the different browser as well and manged to get my hand on Maxthon Browser, try it and hope the next release will resolved this issue.

Need help if there is any developers out there...

Flash not working in browser although I notice under Setting->Apps->All tab, it does show to have "Adobe Flash Player 10.1" installed. I did some research and found that Android 4.0 needs Adobe Flash Player 11. As such, I download the apk for this version 11.1.111.5 from the web and tried replace by installing, but got this message:

    X Application not installed
An existing package by the same name with a conflicting signature is already installed.

The only option is "Done". So installation is unsuccessful. Anyone have a solution to this?

You just have to deinstall the old flash player over settings->apps and the install the new one. Should work I guess.

I upgraded and it seems the I am not having this issue with the default browser that came in 4.0. I think I will look at the Maxthon though.

I have ICS with Flash 10.1. I tried to download Flash 11 but got a message telling me my device(Novo Basic) was not compatible. I haven't tried to really use Flash though.
