Camera Failure, since flashed Aurora... :( (need help on it).

Hi all

I have Ainol Novo7 Aurora with ICS 4.0.3:

- Novo7-Aurora_0322-v02
- BB 1.0
- Kernel 3.0.8
- Compilation number 20120322.171021.v02


PROBLEM: Can't open Front-Camera, always saying: Sorry, Camera was interrupted.

I already reinstall 3 times 2 different ROM and always get the same msg.
When I received the device it was working, but forgot which ROM was in it, and after the 1º flash, never worked again...

It is possible to ask someone to send me a copy of the original "camera app.apk", and replace it via root on my Aurora, or there is another way to FIX it?
(I have my device rooted, if it help to...)

Any Help will be welcome, please?

Ok, today I decided to try the 3 patches available to Aurora (ROM 429 from Feiyu).
Even if I have a v2 Aurora-F5tx screen version (no LG screen) the patch v3 waked the camera

I started with the patch v3 (for LG screen)and miracle: IT's ALIVE!!! :yahoo: don't ask me how, but it solved the problem...

It will be tricky to figure out from which batch your Aurora comes from if you didnt notice the build version number on your device before upgrading. You can always test to downgrade with different firmware from Ainol.com.

Today I re-flash it with 4.0.3 ICS - Novo7-Aurora_0322-v02. Same result.
(Question: when you re-flash, its like a Format-and-install,?)

I 've also change those files from a Novo7 ELF ROM:
Camera.apk, camera.cfg, libcamera_client.so, libcameraservice.so, Camera.exDroid.so, camera.goldfish.so and display.sun4i.so.
So if the camera was working with the ROM when it arrived at home, and do NOT working with, at least, 3 different ROM, I don't believe that's a ROM problem...
I'm thinking of giving up...

Looking other foruns, and a lot of people have the same issue.
Still waiting for a solution from someone, with a kind of patch/script...

I had the same problem. It is with the Firmware ROM everything works except for the camera. I have found a newer ROM designed especially for the Aurora with IPS LG screen it is a nice build and the camera works.

Follow link below and under the download tab select on the Aurora LG version only firmware ROM - file name "Novo7-Aurora-V03-0418.rar"

Try this Feiyu ROM 0429 and Feiyu ROM 0515...

1. Install Feiyu ROM 0429 Livesuit version.
2. Install patch if your FT5X screen or LG screen.
3. Update with Feiyu ROM 0515 with cwm

Had same problem, I thought I had a v3 (LG screen) but it seems I don't....I decided to flash a v2 and a v3 Ainol ROM to see the results, I though v2 would fail even on the touch screen....

* 0418 (v3): Touch screen worked, Camera dead.
* 0322 (v2): Touch screen worked, Camera worked.

Initially I thought I had a v3 cause the reseller told me it was LG screen...but after the tests I think I got one of the latest v2 batches...

I see you've already flashed a v2 but you might have a v3....it's hard to say.

I could chose front or back camera to take a picture before upgraded to ICS 4.0.3 (got from TabletRepublic forum) - Please help me to wake up my front camera!
