The allwinner mod application is excellent and a must have if unable to locate applications via the google play store or suffer 'your device is not compatible' as it allows easy build.prop modding via the tablet.

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...dpbm5lcm1vZCJd

    Description
Change type, build and keyboard mappings of your Allwinner A10 based tablet!
Change some build.prop aspects and keymappings for your Allwinner A10 based tablet.

    Features:
    - Change operation mode between Tablet (120 dpi) and Phone (160 or 240 dpi) mode
    - Change build description between Allwinner, SGS, SGS II and XOOM for games and applications that think your tablet is not compatible with them
    - Change what the physical buttons do, for example you can change the BACK button to VOLUME DOWN, start APP SWITCHER or to start the CAMERA application

MR . GFZ and guys on this forum, please help....The G-Sensor of my New Aurora with LG IPS is offset. I did try to change the "Accelerometer coordinate system from "Default coordinate system" to "Special coordinate system, to support some other games" options. But, it just cant solve the offset issue. The offset is clear after i checked the "Show touches" under Developer option. The white pointer was few mm away from where i touch on screen. Having hard time on clicking on small icons on screen.

Accelerometer is for screen rotation portrait to landscape, and for actions within certain games/apps. Touches being off-set is not going to be connected to accelerometer, it is something completely different. Don't think there's any easy way to recalibrate the screen, although you could try either factory reset, or flash new firmware.

turned mine on earlier and got a message in Chinese, had to press the prompt which then caused the tablet to do what looked like a firmware up date (android figure with cogs etc) it then rebooted and i ended up with a full factory resetted tablet. I hadnt done any app or settings back ups but will from now on, anyone else experience this ?

    Hi,

If not mistaken your tablet is from the batch 1/3/2012 which seems earlier than when the Aurora LG was manufactured.

Have you re-flashed your device before? You may have the second screen model of which a firmware link is available below.

    Hope this helps.

A word of warning though chaps, while allwinner mod is great for altering the build.prop. I would stay away from the button changing options as these do not work properly on our devices.I now have no volume controls and my home key does not work. And the options to change them back are now greyed out. I am now going to have to do my first reflash. If you are having trouble downloading games I would recommend "Chainfire 3d pro" this has a market fix and drivers that allow you to play gameloft and tegra games.with allwinner mod you can download them but the majority will not play.
