Ainol Novo 10 Hero II Firmware Downloads

Dear users,

I updated my Hero II to 20130104 V1 and I observe the WIFI reception so poor. What can I do now? Is Ainol working on a new Firmware to solve these issues...appreciate the comments.

Do you mean, your wifi reception got worse after upgrade?

I am not sure about it. I think the Hero II is having poor wifi reception in general. I have Hero I with excellent wifi reception. How can I improve the Hero II to catch more signals.. I hope Ainol will release a new firmware to address this issue. Do you have any idea dear?

I have no problems with Wifi before and after upgrade, check setting on your router.

No problem with touchscreen, what firmware are you talking about?

Dear.. Wifi reception is only when so close to the router. If you go even 3 meters.. it is dropping. I have Ainol Hero I, which is having very good reception than Hero II.

You can see my wifi test of Hero 2 in my review i have no problems with wifi even in other room far away from the router.
They other device works well does not mean you should not check your router settings, remove all security settings reboot and test again.

I saw it.. may be this device problem. I checked my home also other places. It is so slow and poor reception. Can I update to that unofficial version and check? please guide me..

Thanks Guys for responding. See entry in this thread from FugitiveFromHeaven from 1/15 mentioning unofficial firmware from 1/11.
My hero II came with firmware 1228-V1. Everything worked great the first few hours. Then nothing. The screen would turn on, physical power/volume/home buttons work, screen rotate works, but the touch screen is unresponsive. I've since restored factory defaults, holding volume - and power button. Touch screen worked for a while, and then after waking from screen going off, the touch screen was again unresponsive.
I've tried flashing to 20130104-V1 firmware, but the touch screen is still unresponsive.

It seems that other Ainol products like the aurora/paladin/fire also have had this problem. Wondering if anyone else has had this problem and has an expensive paperweight until Ainol release firmware fix.

Thanks for the instruction above, but can you help.

I have installed "Tablet Product Tool(Developer Edition) 1.02", installed Action USB 2.0 (HS) WinUSB Device. When you launch "Tablet Product Tool(Developer Edition) 1.02" , it ask you to select the new firmware. This is not problem. I don't believe the application is seeing the Tablet. In what condition should the tablet be? booted up and running? Your help is much appreciated.
