Hey, I notice you do a lot of great comparisons and benchmarks between the various android mini-pc devices, and I'm hoping to tap into your expertise. I'm working on an enthusiast project where I want to put together a powerful gaming server and allow other devices to connect remotely to VMs hosted on the machine. I've been looking at a lot of thin and zero client machines, and they all just seem overpriced for what I'm trying to do, which is essentially decode an endless stream of h.264 content and display it on a screen. I don't expect the device to do much else.

Have you tried using any devices, such as the UHost2, for remote desktop? I'd hope to achieve 1080p at 60hz. If you have some time, check out my thread over here and let me know what you think. Virtualized gaming options - [H]ard|Forum

Anyway....I love Tablet Republic..Great Stuff here...I was just unclear about what to do with the firmware rar. If you could please be a bit more specific. Does the update tool take care of it. I would like to be clear on the exact steps.
