msav from slatedroid and xda was the one reporting the 3 hours of game play with 59% left over. I have no reason to doubt him.

Maybe Onda started putting bigger battery. Even on spec sheet, battery life is stated as 5hrs and this guy is getting 7 hrs?

Keep in mind Onda also DIDNT enabled the power management chip and DIDNT down clock the cpu while the tablet is idle/sleep mode.

Doesn't really matter. 75% if the battery life was used up by the screen. Even with better CPU governing, you will get maybe 30ins to 1 hr more. Even iPad 3 has 3-4 he's shorter battery life with a bigger battery. It has 1200 math battery and last around 9 hrs. 5 hrs on 8000mah was expected.

OK, those of you guys who have rooted there tablets, have tried altering the build.prop? I would think that would be easier to get more apps available. Also, has anyone gone over and asked the guys at goo manager if they would help make a twrp recovery for this?

I didn't bother because almost all of my apps showed up. All ofy gameloft games were there. I think ME was the only one missing.

So had another use from slatedroid report 7.25 hours of play time on his tablet. Wifi on, surfing, playing average games, not 3D

So apparently someone was able to install the Chuwai Quad firmware onto the Onda v972 tablet. Only problem with this is that the touch screen is not working. I would thing its a missing driver. Firmware Chuwi V99 Quad Core en Onda V972 - YouTube
