Latest Uhost2 upgrade brings many improvements

    inline image
Mass production of Uhost2 is yet not ready but Smallart has already pushed 3 firmware updates to further improve the stability and added lots on nice features. Here are few that im really exited about: root by default, exFAT file sustem support, optimized on/off function for Umouse.

This proves that Smallart is a solid company with in-house developers that brings good support for their products and want to stay in business for long time compared to the disposable TV stick we have seen in the past. Hopefully this will put some pressure on the other manufacturers to give better support for the products they make.

Here is the full chanagelog for firmware U2.404.000.11.121124

    Changelog:
    • Add Deutsch and French USB keyboard layout and setting options
    • Modify default DLNA device name to product model U2
    • Default rooted
    • Added exFAT file system support
    • Add suspend status LED indication: white slow blink (works for air mouse only)
    • Optimize on/off issue (works for air mouse only)

Together with Smallart we are organizing a group deal on Uhost2.
    Uhost2 Group Bundle from 65USD

Could you ask to Smallart to compile USB DVB-T module? They can add USB-DVB-T support at his TV stick!
    Thanks

    Please post your request here:
Bugs report & Feature requests to Smallart (Uhost)

Also dont forget to mention which USB DVB-T module you want them to include, as there may be loads of different USB DVB-T devices out on the market.

I have a very old Intel USB webcam, I will test it when the Uhost2 arrives

There's a good chance it won't work, but still!

Smallart informed me yesterday that a 4.1 firmware is in the works and should be ready end of December.

I was reading about adding cam use, and did find an article about how to add support to near enough any cam onto Android.
I need to do a little bit more reading, but its sounds pretty simple as long as you have terminal a pc and root access, and the build of android support linux something or other.....
if you find any post helpful, remember to hit thanks to that poster.......
