Hi lordsbm, your right about taking words with a pinch of salt.
I believe the confusion may be because Novo 7 Advanced announced to cease production but this may be because a 'new' Novo 7 advanced may begin production
ssshhh!

The "Novo7C" that Andropos mentioned? Ya was my initial thoughts when I 1st heard about the rumors.
Initially, I was thinking it's about time Novo7A drop it's price. The same generation of tablets with Novo7A, the Onda VX610W deluxe and the P76 (upgraded to capacitive) has fallen to 499 RMB price tag. While Novo7A still selling at 699 RMB (only 100 RMB lesser than release price).
I seriously won't mind the price tage of 699-799 RMB is they come out with a higher resolution & better screen Novo7A
But then Vi30 deluxe had somewhat proven A10 with higher resolution can take a toll. Just hope it's only due to Vi30 deluxe poor touchscreen...
Edit: I'm excited to see how it turns out for Ainol though
It's always good to have the brand of ur tablet gain gobal standing

It would be very strange move from Ainol to pull the n7a from production if there is a great demand for it.
I have never heard of a Chinese manufacturer turning down an opportunity to make money, specially if their Allwinner A10 device is priced higher then competitors and therefore bigger profit margin.
The only reasonable reason for turning down profit from Allwinner i can come think of is that, Ainol have some spicy deal with Ingenic/MIPS/Google and they see bigger $$$ in pushing their platform to end users.
Time will tell, and im sure Allwinner will find support from other big manufacturers like Teclast, Onda and Ployer. Anyhow we have a fantastic time ahead of us, good performance tablets running latest Android pastry for under 100USD.Samples Clearance Sale - Tablets and TV sticks

It's true!
I want to buy one right now!
New info though, it seems like it's just a pause in production:
Supposedly...2011-12-16 - Ainol have shortage of TC-panel for Novo 7 model, the production is delayed and expected to be ready in 1-2 weeks.
Ainol Novo 7 Advanced Android 2.3.4 A10 7-inch Capacitive 8GB
The Paladin and Basic are nice but the lack of HDMI on the Paladin, and the MIPS CPU on both kill it for me.
There are a couple alternatives I was looking at, the Ainol seems to be the most polished unit though.
