Ainol Novo 10 Hero 2 Quad-core stress test video

Ainol's first quad-core tablet the Novo 10 Hero 2 is powered by Actions ATM7029 CPU with speeds up to 1.5GHz and Mali 400 GPU. The screen is 10.1-inch with 1280 × 800 resolution, running on Android 4.1.1.

Ainol announced lots of models using this new quad-core chipset back in October at the 2012 Hong Kong Electronics Fair, but this video shows that Hero 2 is ready for mass production. The video shows an impressing video playback performance, with 6 HD video files playing at the same time.

Price is set to 1300RMB (208USD) and i may get my hands on a sample already next week.

Wow, just got my Hero, and its already outdated by this. Hopefully the ACT chipset has no compatability issues with Playstore. thanks for all your updating Andropos.

Are you sure the gpu is a mali400? If so, thats a big improvement over the previously reported vivante gc1000. I'm curious if its a quad core gpu.

Well i can only rely on info found online, as the device is not yet released i cant confirm any of the specs.

Where have you seen vivante gc1000 being reported?

But there was a public backlash on the forums, because it seemed like a very cheap and weak decision. If Ainol has gone back to Mali400 chips (hopefully quad core), that makes these tablets a lot more interesting.

I removed the links to stores as one was selling Hero 2 with photos of Hero 1, any they both copy same secs and text so these sources are only adding more confusion to the topic.

Also the scanned catalouge that lists gc1000 was reported by me back in October, lets hope things have changed to better since then.

Ainol doesn't make the chip, it's not up to them to pick the GPU.

From what I seen, these act tablet only has 1gb ram. Kinda sucks.
