Wired Internet
I'm wondering if anyone has tried a USB to LAN adapter to get wired Internet to the tablet?
Or if anyone knows if it will work?
I have seen a Chinese MID device that came with an adapter, but couldn't talk the guy out of it so I could try.
Anyone know anything?

it might work if the device has the proper modules and drivers supporting it
doubtful that its gonna work at all without someone developing drivers.
why do you want wired internet, there are alternatives... like getting an Access Point.Keeping an eye out for the consumer and enthusiast.

I also noted that one of the other clones actually comes with a similar device so I ordered an "Ethernet Adapter USB to Lan RJ45" for $4.59 (free S&H) and I'll let you know if it works with the ICS build once I receive it.

this one works with my 760 with e.o.c.'s ICS 4.0.3. & script 5b,,,,
turned on Ethernet setting in tablet plugged in the adapter and viola it worked...
SYBAUSA - SY-ADA24005 >> USB 2.0 10Mbps/100Mbps Network Connection, Plug and Play Ethernet Adapter, MCS7832 Chipset
my 2.5 hard-drive also worked but it drains the battery very fast...

Very cool Sando7, thanks for the update. Have you tried using a powered USB hub and connecting the ethernet adapter and HD at the same time? What about a wireless keyboard & mouse at the same time too?

i used a NON powered hub and was able to connect a usb mouse & keyboard plus my 2.5 hard-drive (all functional).........also had no problems using this combination with the tablet charging thru it's power adapter, if i did not charge the tablet while using the hard-drive the battery drained very quickly.
i did hook up my 2.5 hard-drive to the usb hub with the hard-drives power adapter plugged into the wall and the Tablet went Ballastic (do NOT do this)
hooked up my wireless mouse & usb keyboard and only the mouse worked....
for the mouse & keyboard hook-up i would recommend PS2 thru an adapter.
powered usb hubs also work well.Last edited by sando7; 06-06-2012 at 10:15 AM. Reason: added pics

So I ordered a SYBA adapter from an Amazon.com vendor last week, same model #.
When I opened it this morning it was an Apple branded adapter. Apple USB Ethernet Adapter - Apple Store for Business (U.S.)
Hooked it up and every thing worked just fine.
I'm assuming any adapter with a popular chipset will have drivers built in.
