Also how do I tell what version of firmware my tablet is currently at?

My idea was to post useful content here not over at SD.

The above method did not work for me, have no clue why as everything was good except always ending in a fail flash error with red icon



This method worked/tested by me, credit goes to the OP.

Installing Firmware Using Recovery system 4.0

1. Make sure your tablet is fully charged
2. Download whatever firmware you want and save it to your desktop.
3. Extract the file - I use 7-zip file manager
4. Copy this to your desktop and rename it update
5. Save this to an sd card
6. Put sd card in tablet
7. Press and hold the volume up button and power button until you see the logo and let go of both buttons
8. You then will see an android guy with a red !
Press and hold the volume up and power and another screen comes up with reboot system now, when you see these you let go. It should happen right away after you do volume up and power

Note: If Step 8 does not work, try pressing and hold for 2-3 seconds then let go and it should come up. I had to try a few times

9. Use the volume down button to select update rkimage from/sdcard then click the power button to select it.
10. Then use the volume down button down to wipe data/factory reset click power button to select it. Use volume button to go down to yes - delete all user date click power button to select it
11. reboot system now - click power button to select

This worked great for me, hope it help those who got the error like me

i reach step 8 and i see a logo with an open android with a red caution triangle with a !.
But in next step, i press together volume up+power buttons and the tablet is powered off instead get in the second screen.

Any help ?

Yes this happened to me also, after a few tries i got it to the next step. What i did was press/hold the volume up + power for 2-3 secound and let go and it work. Method above edited.
