Hi Sparta76, thanks for response. I read another forum post and Google play missing apps is solved - this solution need only copy 4 files to system directory....

Thanks for this tip. With those 4 files, i have been able to install for my daughter : Google earth, Google maps, facebook and youtube.

ICS 4.03 v1.04 available on Teclast official site since 2012-06-25 (there was ICS 1.0 then 1.1 and now 1.04? the image inside the zip is from 2012-06-08). GB 2.34 v2.04 available since 2012-05-16. http://www.teclast.com/tools/pad/putcode.html and enter R8A1.

Didn't test any of those yet, for the past 6 weeks I've been happily using Rom mod0429 v1.3 by MoonShadow ( teclast p85 custom roms - SlateDroid.com ). That page also has newer roms which I didn't try.

Nice to see Teclast updating it, and nice that custom roms are also available. Good tablet this

Today (09.july.2012) on Teclast ftp, there is a new firmware ICS 4.0.4 for the P85 :

ICS 4.0.4 installed... working good, wifi sleep problem out, but Google play not present (gmail, maps, calendar and some chines.... ) simple instal Google play from apk not work (crash immediately )

yes, Adobe Flash work great, more stable and no lags... (flash video...)

hi i recently got a p85 off someone but i had to reset it to factory settings and it back into Chinese, so i went into language and changed it to English and then clicked on home, everything on my homepage is in English but when i go into applications on the little sidebar everything is still i Chinese.. can anyone please tell me how to change it to English?

I change setting in display menu for accelerometer from "Default coordinate system" to "Special coordinate system 1, to support some other games"
and now settings.apk go to crash, when I open it and click to display settings...

its way to correct this without reset tablet to factory default (maybe edit some xml file or other)

Hi all.

I have found a topic on XDA about our P85 monocore R8A1 and jellyBean 4.1.
