Problem with tablet
Good day, my tablet is the next model:
DFP7005 with android 4.0.3 kernel version 3.0.8+ shen@compiler #1 build number DFP7005_0.5.5-r167_20120406.
My problem is the following:
I was installing some apps from market (Titanium Backup), when the tablet reset, now every time the battery is depleted and recharged, it turn back on to reset factory default, and i can't install any app. When it arrived it had 1GB free in internal memory, now it shows zero free memory with 80mb installed. I tried to reset the tablet pressing vol+ and power, it started the process but suddenly it shows a fallen dead android with a red triangle with a black admiration mark, it reboot itself and i am back to square one.
I was reading about the same problem with other similar model and was solved by rewriting the firmware with an iso file, but it's not the same as mine, so i'm afraid it will kill my tablet more if i update the firmware. Can you help me. Thanks.

I have exactly the same model as you and the same problem 0bytes storage & resets to factory default when booted. If you hold vol- and power you get 9 different recovery options but all in chinese! I'v photographed this and am trying to find someone who can read chinese charactors to translate. I think our model is quite recent so no rom available yet & have been unable to trace factory. Post up if you have any success

Problems with tablet
Good day, i have tried the Vol- plus power menu, its a factory test menu. The first option will put the tablet in test mode. The other option are to run solo test of one component. I still have the problem.

I can even make it simpler for everyone!!!
1. Your tablet is still rooted, but su won't work because of the symlink/mount problem. Also ALL your data is all still there even AFTER a factory restore. Flash doesn't affect that area of storage.
2. The DMP7005 rom is pre rooted. It installs that way.
3. You don't even need to install the term program; you can use the built-in file manager.
4. Go into the settings for ES File Explorer and make sure to check the two options:
a. Root Explorer
b. Mount file system (as writable)
c. Also enable the option "UP to Root" and/or set the home directory to "/"
5. Now Just copy busybox from /system/xbin to /system/bin
a. Navagate to /system/xbin
b. Long Press on busybox and select "copy" (a paste button will then appear on the lower center of the screen_
c. Navagate to /system/bin
d. Click on the paste button and paste.
6. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT: ES File Explorer won't copy the files permissions by default so you MUST also do the following:
a. Navigate to /system/bin (you should still be there after your paste)
b. Long Press on busybox and select "Properties"
c. Click Change and change permissions to rwx-rwx-r-x by doing the following:
1. Check all the boxes except for the bottom middle one. (if you check them all it won't hurt anything but you shouldn't)
2. Click "OK" and then click "OK" to save the changes.
7. Reboot the tablet by using the long press on the power button to shut down, and the long press to start up again.
No need to install term.apk unless you're a major nerd (like me and my kind)
ALSO: IF for some reason your data partition was wiped out or damaged, there is something you should also know:
You might not be able to update the "Market" program to the current "Play" program. Because flash is required. However the developers thought of this!! There is a copy of Adobe Flash Player Located in /system/preinstall. It will be called "AdobeFlashPlayer11.1.115.6.apk" or something similar. Just install it. But if everything is working properly on reboot, then there is no need to do that.
In my case, All my data was still there after a factory reset (or two or three or four, in my trying to figure out what was wrong)
By the way, My crash happened after a busybox update went bad. It was the update from 1.20.0 to 1.20.1 using the busybox app. (Free version) It was my fault; I just clicked on the wrong thing and started a second install. My finger just brushed the screen at the wrong place, SO BE VERY CAREFUL when you update busybox using the app!!!
