[SCRIPTS] - lordsbm script for all Allwinner A10 tablet ICS firmwares

Since there are new ICS firmwares out for various Allwinner A10 Tablet, I'd make a script to cater for all A10 tablets.

Obviously, I do not have all A10 tablets, so there could be bugs. Also this is to be use at your own risk.

    Download link

Here's what my script will do for Allwinner A10 tablet:

    1. Enable full Android market access like Skype, Launcherpro which were missing from default market.
    2. Google framework and apps added (like maps, voicesearch, etc. Location not working)
    3. Some Wifi improvements. (May drain battery a little bit more)
    4. Improve UI scrolling responsivesness.
    5. Render UI with GPU.
    6. JPEG quality adjusted to 100%.
    7. Photo & video recording quality improved.
    8. Added 4 essential free apps option.
    9. Fool games this tablet is SGS2 so as to allows you to play.

*If you want to do a batch apk installation just throw the apk files into apps folder.

Refer to readme.txt for more infos.

USB Driver/No Device Found Errors, try:
    [Driver] - Ainol Novo 7 Advanced - Thanks KingKephin! - SlateDroid.com

    *update by andropos*

Allwinner devices working with this script:

    1. Device
    2. Android version
    3. Kernel version
    4. Built number
    5. Status / Notes
    1. Bmorn V99
    2. 4.0.1
    3. 3.0.8+
    4. 20111228.120854
    5. WORKING

    Bmorn V9+

works on Bmorn V9+ with ICS 4.0 -> but it makes the tablet to other product all other things works market and some apps too... There are some problems with apps but i think its a firmware bug couse its a test version of 4.0

This does not root the tablet with the other benefits, does it?

    Thanks

I am in need of education, then.

What qualifies a tablet to be considered rooted .. and how would you know?

    Thanks

Actually I'm pretty sure the first firmware and a couple of the subsequent firmwares for the Ainol Novo7A did _not_ come pre-rooted. So not all firmware versions for these chinese A10 tablets come rooted.

There is an app on the market called root checker. This is the most universal way (works across almost all tablets). The simpler way if you have an A10 tablet is to run Roman's script (or Tasselhof's script or maybe even lordsbm's script?) There is a root checker mechanism in there as well.

'mt' tabs? Do you mean 'my' tabs?

SO ..an extra question for the knowledgeable?

Since it is rooted ...does that mean with the proper knowledge one can go in and disable the 'cell' standby? That was a major cause of battery drain in the Aishuo S2 I just sent back

Unless you are a beta tester, only the default factory firmware version 1.5.1 is not rooted. The rest all came rooted. Which is 1.6T and later.

Allwinner A10 standby is actually very good. If you off your wifi 24 hrs standby should take <20-25% off the battery. Could be less with better firmware or on flight mode.

RK2918 is also bad at standby. My Uzone F0C 3200 mAh battery fully charged gets drained after 24-26hrs standby.

Lord.... I thank thee for your remarkable script, and the bounty is has reaped... lol ... serious though ghe script is proving invaluable on multiple fronts. Is there a way you can include flash in there to make it easier for users wanting a more full ICS experience?
