I used the version of firmware here http://tabletrepublic.com/forum/tecl...p76ti-382.htmlThe first stumbling block was the LiveSuit in the firmware download it didn't like my machines, when I re-read at the instructions here forum.androidRomInfo.com • View topic - Teclast P76TI 7" Capacitive Touch 8GB 512MB Firmware I noticed in the screenshots he used LiveSuitPack-v1.07, I downloaded that from the from the latest files on the right side of this forums window used it and it loaded ICS immediately. Now ICS as it comes has no access to the Android Market, so I downloaded the script on this thread, tried to load it, went back and reread the first post and downloaded and installed the driver fix http://www.slatedroid.com/topic/2382...ks-kingkephin/. The driver fix installed the PDANet "dock" that then recognized the tablet, with that on, on the tablet and NOT "connected to the internet" on the computer, when I ran the script it loaded and despite the disclaimer everything but reading the "external" sd card is working and very smooth. Bottom line don't rush, really read all of the instructions and ask questions here.

Sir ...(I hesitate to call you 'Lord')
Just got my new Onda Vi30W with ICS. There are some apps. within, but they are apparently not activated. Actually they are not set to turn on as a default action AFAICT ..thus no icons other than 'Settings' and 'Super HD Play'.

Will this script be a good start to take care of this. Hope so, as I am a bit stumped.

2.3 was easier to master. Go figure !

FYI I used lordsbm's script on the VI30W and it worked fine. Market installed. after a reboot market worked well. I imagine you have the same firmware as I do (seeing as we shipped on the same day). You might want to update to the new 4.0.3 firmware as Onda has updated it for our tablets to increase speed.

After market is installed just install whatever apps you want and get to playing.

    Thanks.

    Yes ..I have 4.01.

I have a question. I am looking at the Instillation Guide attached to the script, and it says to "Run/double-clicked fullmarket (.bat file)".
Is this done from within my PC ..or do I move these files over to the Android and then install with another method.

Thanks so much for your help.

Ah you're at the beginning. You need to satisfy some conditions before you are able to run this script.

    1) Set your android in USB Debugging mode (in the settings developer options) - (On Onda)
    2) You need to install ADB drivers for android ( I used the drivers from pda.net linked Here ) - (On PC)
    3) Hook up your USB cable to your tablet. (On both... they are now wired together)
    4) run the fullmarket script. (On PC)

if after step 3 windows says it failed to install device, or there was an error in installation of device then you might need to install different drivers/reinstall the drivers.

#2. Is that the PdaNetA302.exe that Tass links to at the beginning.
Just want to make sure, as I am very nervous. Don't want a brick here!

    Thanks

Understood and BE CAREFUL! Yes i installed Version 3.02 installer for 64-bit Windows 7/Vista. I did this because I am running Windows 7 64 bit. Make sure you install the right version for the right OS.

The BEST way to make sure you don't brick your tablet is to... Read and follow question 1 of my guide.. Download the Onda Firmware from Onda's website, and make sure you can flash the firmware yourself. I can not express how important question 1 of my guide is. It will save you from heartbreak. Get the worst over and make sure you can do it, then worry about the scripts.

    OK. I will do that.
Curious to know if an Android Beta firmware will always contain the improvements found in the non-beta version?
I found both of these firmwares right here on the site.
    Vi30 - Downloads - Android Tablets Forum

This should be my last question before I make the dive!

Edit. I am a bit confused. The replies for that Beta firmware thread speaks to an ICS firmware upgrade. I know Merimobiles did this right before sending the tab. Should I just re-do the firmware to make sure?

Um I'm not sure what the question exactly is. If you're asking which firmware you should download. I say download the ones on the Onda site :-) ... there are many to v2s to choose from. The ones linked aren't even for your tablet? You want the Vi30W Deluxe right? These are for the Vi30 Deluxe I think.

    Probably right.

I will wait a spell ..read some more. I went to the Onda site ..can't read Chinese, of course ...(even after Google translated it).

Too much risk for the moment.
