Oh yeah, forgot your on ICS.

    Then at least try this:

    typ 'adb shell'
and when you are in the shell enter the command 'su'. If you get nothing or just 'su' as output there is nothing wrong with the su binary.

No tested, and gave you the right files. Accidently removed the maps app. Reinstalling firmware so I can try rooting again.

I'm sorry guys. I reinstalled a fresh firmware again. Performed a factory reset (to remove all crapware), set language to English, set my Wifi network and then rooted exactly as I described here. And it worked perfect.

Just to make sure; if you reinstall firmware by using an 'update.zip' file, everything is erased, isn't it? Otherwise there could be some tweaks left from my old installation why it keeps working.

With the firmware isn't anything wrong. I flashed it thousand times. You are sure you've downloaded the complete firmware? Renamed it to update.zip and put in on your MicroSD card? And then rebooted in recovery mode? Try to open the update.zip package in WinRAR and check if it opens without an error.

Yeah that seems good! I guess you do have root access now, don't you?
What is your Market problem exactly? And downloading official firmware is a pain. The servers are as slow as hell. I'm redownloading the files for days but can't get them completely.

and i forgot to say that there is nothing wrong with the firmwares because i have flashed the unit before this thread with the 4.0 and 3.2, but now all firmwares won't work during flashing. I get E:error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip (status 0) Installation aborted so not sure whats going on?

Me neither. Suggest starting a new thread because I don't know the answer too.
