so which firmware is better the 20111029 or my novo7 says in data that i have 20111215? and i have been noticing alot of freezing does this update fix it?

I found the latter 20111215 much better and to make it even faster and more stable, I did a reset (most of the Chinese apps are deleted) and then reinstalled only those apps I actually wanted from the firmware. Allow a couple of reboots to settle everything and you will have a much better tablet experience.

The best firmware to use is update_with_xboot xip.

The update_with_xboot.zip was uploaded about 20111221 but the firmware is dated 20111217.

I'm seeing u guys are so expert in serching for Apps for NOVO7 but I'm stuck by this. The only source I know to serch for Apps/Games is through "GoMarket" and it's limited. It's totally different from the way I download Apps/Games for my iPhone.
Can someone help me? I just bought this NOVO7 a mth ago & I hardly use it cos I do not know how to go about it...... Thanks.

All you nedd to do at first is to extract the update file and you will find a folder with all the apps that come with the tablet. You should also have the google market installed.

Try the 20111215 firmware (update with xboot zip) as I think it is even better than 20111226 firmware. Keep all your apps on the sdcard and/or pc but you can extract them from this firmware also but only after you have flashed it and reset via the settings menu.

This upgrade process is a bit tricky and even the Chinese guide was not easy to follow, so i decided to write my own upgrade guide. From firmware (3.2_20111109) upgrade method from SD card:

Upgrade Steps:

• Unpack the firmware file update.zip
• Copy update.zip to an empty micro sd card
• Turn of the device (make sure its charged before you proceed)
• Insert micro SD card into the device
• Press and hold the Volume + key and press power button
• When you see the Ainol logo, release both buttons
• Wait till the upgrade is complete (this will take few min)
• Device will reboot after upgrade

Preparation:

1. Required files:

• Android 3.2 Novo7 Basic firmware image files
• Ingenic Flash Tool (USBbootTool.exe)
• Windows USB boot drivers

Firmware can be downloaded here:

2. Make sure the device is fully charged

3. Backup your data, device will be formatted during upgrade

Upgrade Steps:

Step 1
a. unpack firmware files and flash tool
b. do not start the flash too yet
c. connect the USB cable to PC only, (DONT NOT CONNECT TO DEVICE YET)

Step 2
a. boot device to desktop
b. press and hold the Volume -
c. connect the mini USB to device and directly after poke the reset hole button
d. Windows will now ask for USB boot drivers
e. browse to 4770 drivers located under flash tool folder and install the drivers (see image)
f. unplug the USB cable from device

a. start the flash tool (USBbootTool.exe)
b. select all appropriate files as shown in image below

a. press and hold the Volume -
b. connect the mini USB to device and directly after press the reset button
c. when you see the first process bar loading, release the Volume - button
d. WAIT, when flash process is done the the device will automatically restart
e. you can unplug the USB cable and exit the flash tool
