I know the back is metal ..but is it real slick, or something less slick .. easier to hold to?

My one feels OK, no complaints. Yes, it is aluminum at back, again, no complaints.

The physical buttons (3 at the bottom) are OK; but I do not understand why they are included in the 1st place. I have been using it for over 2 weeks and never pressed it once except for testing!

Your offer to help us buy direct from China is very noble. I have been reading a lot about the Onda Vi40 and reliability was never an issue from the users, meaning (I assume) the build quality is pretty ok. That being the case, sending it back for repairs may not be a major issue.

In any case, I'm from Malaysia so you may have buyers from all over... Anyway, Iwould like to get one if your offer to help is sincere and I offer many thanks for that. BTW, how much does it sell for in China? Is it any cheaper than buying online?

I do not know anywhere cheaper.
Anyhow, there is no stock anywhere; all pre-order and it can take 5 to 7 days or longer.
