Sorry to hear that. Is it updated from SDcard? or flashed? I thought brush meant flash, but TF card sounds like external card. confusing....

The files in the release seem to be meant for an sdcard update, so I went with that method. Thats also the method described in enclosed text files in the release

okay, so I got my V971. Upgraded to 4.1-was a little tricky, had to do the update twice. Wifi seems good-

The higher one is by the router, the lower values a floor above and a couple rooms over. So it may be you got a bad unit, wifi related.

I see what you mean by the lag compared to rk3066 tablets. Coming out of standby the rk tablet is on as soon as you touch the button, while the amlogic takes a few seconds. Screen changes are also a little quicker. The rk does run at 1.6ghz, while the amlogic is 1.2ghz, maybe that's the difference in performance.

After updating to JB, the wifi got very intermittent. I tried a couple of different JB roms, and a custom ICS one, wifi still was bad. Just found a site with v1.5, so i am downloading, and will roll back to that, hopefully wifi will improve.

Actually the tablet is pretty much useless now, wifi is so bad. Just drops out for no reason, then stays good for 10-15 minutes, drops, it's very annoying. Tried every firmware available, still no good.

Thats exacly what I warned about. Onda has excellent build quality but terrible firmware development. I will not buy another Onda product until they get their act together.
