I'm downloading it right now. I will post a review as soon as possible.

What i can say from only looking at the pictures:
They decreased the Screen DPI value. (could may be set back in "/system/build.prop")
    This causes three things:
    • Everything is Displayed bigger (which of course makes fit less Information on the screen).
    • The Taskbar is now 50px high (instead of 30?) -> Landscape mode sucks. -> Letterboxed 16:9 Video Playback.
    • Android runs faster (less information displayed -> less to render -> faster)

Short Review of ICS Stable Firmware:

First of all, it noticed an awesome gain of general UI Speed. It also seems that Android boots up a lot faster.
It gives you an awesome feedback - there are no laggs while scrolling etc.

The incresed DPI isnt really that bad. The Taskbar is fading away when you start a fullscreen app, so Landscape mode is totally usable.

The "new" (according to changelog) Google apps are the same as in the ICS beta (at least it there is no big change)
The Firmware comes with "Google Market" Version 3.x instead of "Google Play Store".
Pre-installed Music Player ist the Android 2.x one (which is somehow curious, because the 2.3.4 Firmware came with the ICS Musik Player, but ICS does not.) If you want to, you can easily install "Google Play Music", the newest Music Player made by Google.

    Miscellaneous:
    USB Ethernet Dongle:
I tested an USB-RJ45 (Ethernet) dongle and it worked flawless. PLug 'n Play
It was this one. If you want to buy one, keep attention that the device is run by "MosChip MCS7830".

It seems that Google Play Store won't download through Ethernet, but only through Wi-fi and 3G.
You can search look at the Information, but the download will fail.
(It is a general problem, f.e. Gameloft games will only load data via Wi-Fi, because they are programmed to one Internet-Interface)

    Sunspider Benchmark Comparison:
Also i ran Sunspider 0.9.1 Browser Benchmark with the new Firmware:
    • Default Browser: 8745ms
    • Opera Mobile 12: 4225ms
    • Chrome Beta: 3498ms

To compare it to other devices:
    • Iphone (IOS 4.2):10414ms
    • iPad 1 (IOS 4.2): 8079ms
    • Galaxy Tab 7.0: 7652ms
    • Iphone 4 (IOS 4.3):4151ms
    • iPad 1 (IOS 4.3): 3261ms
    • Galaxy Tab 10.1: 2256ms
    • iPad 2: 2097ms

    My Dekstop: 235ms
    (4x3.4GHz 64bit, 8GB Ram, Opera 12)

Most interesting comparison is the one to the Galaxy Tab and to the Ipad 1 as they all have similar processors.
Thats why i also chose Chrome (it is webkit-based just like Safar on the Apple-devices)
As expected this tab is almost one level with the Ipad 1. They both use a 1Ghz Cortex A8 Processor and newest webkit engine.

The Ipad2 and GTab 10.1 need only a bit more than half the time, because they have Dual-Core Cortex A9 which are of course a lot faster (and in another prica range by far).

    Hi,

Should you link on the first page of the thread the good drivers for this tablet ?

And if it's simple, a way to install step by step a small battery update with a cooked one :

Please don't fullqoute, i know what i have already written. Please edit your post and remove the qoute.

Which drivers do you want ? The ADB drivers are included in the Android SDK (After install in "extras\google\usb_driver")

Sorry for the full quote... i've just corrected it ;-)

I'm not a specialist of using adb, because with other tablet i just need to boot with recovery mode and apply update.zip from sdcard.

So, all drivers I tried weren't adapted for the tablet and when I plug it into usb to my windows xp drivers are not mounted.

This only thing (with or without ADB ???) I would like to do is update the battery style with a percent circle one ;-)

Quite alone, I'm not sur to be able to do it...

There is no such thing as recovery mode on this device. (There is one, but you can only install whole roms)

Your could install "framework-res.apk" and "SystemUI.apk" from your zip-file manually (on your own risk)

I ever tried to copy them with Root explorer from my sdcard... but there was no way to did it : error

Also, I'd never used ADB and can't understand this driver issue
