List of stock Android services and applications
Many times when tweaking a Android device i find lots of preinstalled apps and services running in the background not knowing clearly what they do, if they are really needed and if would be safe to remove them in order to free up space, memory and hopefully improve the performance of the device.
I end up searching for info on each apps and i have not found any page with complete list of all the stock Android stuff that come preloaded and run in the background.
I will update this list of apps that i want more information on and anyone is welcome to contribute.

Thanks for starting this conversation, Dro.
Got all 4 of those ...with a whole host of other system files.
I had looked at a number of them before ...like AnZhi; cn.goapk.market - and wondered if they were actually needed.
Here is another. I have loaded 'Go Launcher'. The other, initial 'Launcher' is still there. Is it needed at all, especially if I have no intent of ever using it?
Many system apps look to be true Android apps; marked with the little android. Others, such as the launcher and things like Movie Studio ...look to be apps placed into the initial rom package, to have something there to fill that need ...IF NEEDED !
So can anything that looks like an app be deleted ...leaving the obvious system files related to the Android OS alone?
By the way ...I use SD MAID to search out all my apps.

Be careful. Your assumption that the little Android denotes system app may be flawed.
Systems for example do not have the little man but lots of Google stuff does.

Yep. I went back and saw that many ..quote "System" apps do not have the little man. SD Maid labels them as system.
Still ...what about something like Calculator? It is a system app, but one that is easily recognized for what it is, unlike some of the other system apps.
If I don't want it in there, can I delete it with little to no danger of messing up the tab?
Not that I would do that ...just exploring the options.

Yes, when I build a kernel from an AOSP source, it actually already included in the main branch, but I am sure it is not required. I will try to compile a kernel without those apk, and see if there is any FC or else.
